MEANT TO BE by Lauren Morril
Meant to be or not meant to be . . . that is the question.
It's one thing to fall head over heels into a puddle of hazelnut coffee, and quite another to fall for the—gasp—wrong guy. Straight-A junior Julia may be accident prone, but she's queen of following rules and being prepared. That's why she keeps a pencil sharpener in her purse and a pocket Shakespeare in her, well, pocket. And that's also why she's chosen Mark Bixford, her childhood crush, as her MTB ("meant to be").
But this spring break, Julia's rules are about to get defenestrated (SAT word: to be thrown from a window) when she's partnered with her personal nemesis, class-clown Jason, on a school trip to London. After one wild party, Julia starts receiving romantic texts . . . from an unknown number! Jason promises to help discover the identity of her mysterious new suitor if she agrees to break a few rules along the way. And thus begins a wild goose chase through London, leading Julia closer and closer to the biggest surprise of all: true love.
Because sometimes the things you least expect are the most meant to be.
The first time I read this book's description I went like this:
I swear.
It is just my kind of book, romantic, contemp, opposites attract, etc, etc.
My heart swells with so many emotions... I can't even... let's make a list:

I MUST HAVE THIS BOOK IN MY HANDS
hahahaha OMG That little girl is freakin me out! It does sound like a cute and fun read. I've read a few similar books, you know good girls is paired with bad boy or party boy and they fall for each other and they are always a fun read. I also like the little hunt they will go on. I wonder if he really is the one who sent the text message all along.

Yeah me too. There's an infinite amount of this type of book, but I'm always excited this can be a 'greater than average' one. For exemple, The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, I was super excited for it 'cause it sounded so cute, but it ended up being boring.
DeleteSo I'm still waiting for a REALLY GOOD one. Hopefully this'll be it :D
I loved Statistical Probability! True it wasn't an exciting book with a hunt and what not but it was cute and deep. Oh and no I haven't read Spellbound yet but I can't wait! She will probably end up with Archer but I read for Cal. I like the sweet guys.
DeleteI am SO sure she'll end up with Archer. Bummer cause I looooove Cal ): but whateves, at least he'll still be my option :)
DeleteI kind of likes The Statistical, well some parts, the neding I thought was super cute, but some parts put me to sleep :(
Hope this one is deep and romantic and fun, too
So Julia sounds just like me. :O *continues reading the summary* ....THIS BOOK IS PERFECT OKAAAY!
