Follow Friday FEATURE [!]

Weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.
Follow Friday is a fun way to get followers and get to know other amazing bloggers.

I'm the feature this week!

Yay! Thanks, Rachel & Alison!
I really appreciate it! and I also appreciate everyone who's coming today.

Hi!

I'm Melannie *starts to shake hands but hugs people instead*
it's very nice to see you here in this humble, little book blog :)

Please take a seat

Now, for this week's question:

Q: When you've read a book, what do you do with it? (Keep it, give it away, donate it, sell it, swap it..?)

I would like to say I'm one of those people who donate their books after they read them but I'm far too selfish (and honest).
The truth is, I always keep the books I buy, it's a relationship where I'm way too involved.

My Books

YOU CAN'T TOUCH THIS!

=

But that's with my books, when I have a double copy or buy an extra one I don't have a problem giving them away, I mean books are the best presents and they make people happy :)

  2. Congrats on being the Feature!
I use to hoard all my books as well, but then my book shelves started overflowing and I realized there are just some books that I will never read again and hence needed to begone.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

  14. Hi there. Well I have to say it's been a long time since I've come across such a humorous blog! You certainly had me smiling and laughing (especially with 'you can't touch this')even though my two year old was whining and being grizzly in the next room. Great blog and I've found you via Follow Friday.

  15. Love your blog; you're hilarious! New follower here & congrats on the feature! I understand about being a hoarder because books are "speshul" and no one shall touch my treasures. They need to build their own stash. If hubby can't touch it, then your SOL buddy. LOL.

    Anyways, here's my FF

You made me giggle/snort with the books/Hammer time. I feel exactly the same way.

Brodie @ Eleusinian Mysteries gave me this link, and I think the 'no touching my books' and 'not while I'm reading' go quite nicely in the same boat. Is it something about book blogging that makes us all bonkers?

  42. Way to go, Featured Blogger! I'm so happy to have found your blog! I think Books are Vital, too!
I'm a teacher, so as soon as I read books they get to live at school and end up in the hands of as many kiddos as possible. But, if I really love a book, I'll get a copy for school & keep one for myself!

  46. Hi Melanie!! I'm definitely a combo of both, but mostly a book hoarder as well. Nice to meet you!

  47. So great that you've become the Feature site this week! I'm really interested in your blog--very interested in all the doctorish/health symbols. Must read more of it.
What do I do with my books? I'm very much like you. I've had a motto for decades: Books are our friends. They stay with me nearly always! I have started to give them to my daughter when I finish reading some of them (emphasis on the "some") since she's now in her 30's can has become more serious about reading...sort of. But mostly I keep them. I also share them with friends who are serious readers.
LOL Love your concept of "Don't Touch" because I also get nervous if anyone touches my books...the covers or edges might get bent! :]

  51. Hey! Congratulations on being featured. :D That's awesome. Nice to meet you! New follower here.

I don't donate a lot, but when I need more space that's what I do. I wish I had the economy to send more or people in my surrounding who'd enjoy them as well, but sadly that's not the case. But it's cozy being surrounded by books!

    Happy Friday! My FF!

  52. Hi Melanie,

Congrats on being a Feature this week. I like the medical take on books you have! Very creative.

I'm a new follower (Poison Rose). I am not a hoarder as I am a bit short on physical books right now. I'm working to cure that though. I have a few on my e-Readers though. If I do find a good book, I would tell my friends about it and have them get it for themselves...LOL

    Happy FF Friday!
